Under the management and production of JIIFF and with the support of the Uruguayan Film and Audiovisual Agency (ACAU), Generación J is a training program designed and mentored by professionals from the Latin American film industry.

In the third edition Generación J became a space legitimized by the local industry. A space that sets the foundations for the professional careers of the participants, but also for their projects that from this instance begin to be recognized by other training spaces and work laboratories.
This year Generación J creates a different proposal, we invite two directors-producers under the age of 32 to think together about the project they are developing; so that they can, while training themselves, approach the project in a dynamic way and empower it for its next stages.
The 2023 edition allowed the gathering of 10 new talents from Uruguay, meeting with experts from the global film industry.
Generación J begins in the year 2022 with the aim of training emerging young Uruguayan producers. It is an event that not only serves as a space for knowledge but also for the positioning of new talents in the fiction film industry of Uruguay.
The training space of Generación J takes place at Casa Neptuna, the venue for artists of the Ama Amoedo Foundation. It is a space for thought and creation designed by the artist Edgardo Gimenez.
