PROGRAM 2024

Feature in Competition

In the 2024 edition of the José Ignacio International Film Festival, we programmed seven international feature films, all in competition and exclusively premiering in Uruguay. The awarded film was chosen by the audience, who voted for The Taste of Things directed by Trần Anh Hùng.

The screenings were held at José Ignacio, highlighting various locations that express the beauty of the area: the traditional Bajada de los Pescadores, the beloved Pavilion VIK, and this year’s novelty, Oceánica Bodega José Ignácio, which surprised and exceeded expectations by convening more than 1500 spectators.

In parallel to the screenings of JIIFF, Working JIIFF, our industry program, was held, which brought together more than 60 producers, filmmakers and decision makers from different countries in José Ignacio, for four days. A space that continues to grow and facilitates the realization of fiction projects.
