SYNOPSIS
1944. In Vermiglio, a high mountain village of the Italian Alps where war looms as a distant but constant threat. The arrival of Pietro (Giuseppe De Domenico), a refugee soldier, disrupts the dynamics of the local teacher’s family, changing them forever. As the world emerges from the tragedy of World War II, the family will face its own.

BIOGRAPHY
Born in Bolzano, after graduating in literature in Bologna and Paris, she studied dramaturgy in Buenos Aires. After exploring the boundary between fiction and non fiction through her documentaries, she premiered her first fiction Maternal winningfour awards in the International Competition of the 72. Locarno Film Festival and more than thirty in over hundred festivals worldwide. In 2020 she won the Kering-Festival de Cannes Women in Motion Young Talent Award. The script of Vermiglio was selected in Torino FilmLab, Nipkow Program, Mediterrannean Film Institute Lab. It has been awarded the Coprocity Award and the ARTE Kino International Award.
